Here’s a piece from our special collection of unique and exclusively designed Chanderi Sarees for saree lovers and collectors. This is a handloom Chanderi Saree handwoven with 100% pure Silk warp & 100% pure Cotton weft. We have this design in six different colours whereby the structure and pattern is the same and only the colour of the stripes differ and sometimes pallu and blouse combinations too.

The body has vertical stripes in pink colour. The stripes of the body go right till the end from top to bottom. This gives the plain border a very interesting translucent look with the colour & the stripes visible from underneath. The pallu & the border are plain in grey colour topped with a Gold Zari band. The base colour of the Saree is white. The colour of the blouse piece is the same shade as of stripes, woven in Resham.

The interesting part is the pallu which is woven in Tissue and Cotton weft with the Silk warp. Thus, it has a subtle sheen that comes from the use of Zari. The pallu is neatly finished with woven tassels. The attached blouse piece is woven in Pattu Silk. Here, even the weft is in Silk and thus it has a soft reshami feel.

The attached blouse piece is woven in Silk warp of body colour & Tissue weft along with contrast colour Cotton weft, orange. Thus, the blouse piece has a subtle sheen that comes from the use of Zari. The blouse also has silver zari pin stripes. The body is in solid colour with a zari boota of a trumpet shaped vase in which flowers are woven with a contrast colour Meena. As the name suggests, this Tilak Booti is an auspicious motif, a drape apt for all festivities. History tells us that each dynasty had their own unique Tilaks and thus marking their identity. The design of the Saree has pallu with Kitkita pattern in Sona Rupa Zari. It’s a pattern which is like a chequerboard made by weaving tiny squares in alternate rows of Gold & Silver Zari over the base of body colour.
